Breast Lift
Is a procedure that will bring new life to a women's breasts,
lifting and firming them. Many breast lift patients have suffered a gradual
sagging of
their breasts over the years from the inevitable effects of gravity, or a more
sudden drop after pregnancy. A breast lift procedure results in a higher, firmer,
perkier breasts and a more appealing contour. It is not uncommon for this procedure
to be performed in conjunction with a breast augmentation.
Procedure:
Acceptable for women with any breast size, breast lift methods vary. The surgeon
surgically removes excess skin and repositions the nipple to a naturally higher
point.
Recovery:
Most patients are able to return to work about one week after surgery, and can
resume activities that require more physical exertion after about one month.
It is usually several months to a year before the fading of scars is completed.
Risks:
There are always potential risks associated with any surgical procedure,
but rather than fear them, it's smartest and safest to be aware of them. Be
sure to discuss any risks with your doctor at your consultation. You will probably
experience temporary bruising, swelling, discomfort and numbness. Long term
risks include wide scars, infection, and assymetry.
